See US from eyes of NRI people

1. Entire USA is not the same. We have 6 different time zones here
2. We don't have snow everywhere.
3. We have really hot places which are hotter like live in desert.
4. New York is most expensive city and California is one of most expensive state.
5. We don’t have downtown everywhere it is only in metro areas.
6. Transport is not great like we have in India that is the reason we need car because bike is not safe here.
7. Services are really expensive here (any kind of). (We don't have bai's and machines are not 100% perfect)
8. Trains are running at around same speed that we have in India and it is expensive than taking flight plus it takes more time than flights.
9. We have same thing for buses. They are expensive than flights.
10. Houses prices are really cumbersome in California that is the reason it is hard to buy homes and you cannot compare house prices between states. No one give loan to immigrants that easily.
11. Never forget property tax which you have to pay to live in your own house and that is funny but it is real.
12. Trip to India is really expensive for us specifically people who are doing consulting jobs.
13. Here we can not think about conversion rate. Here $ are $. 
14. We are also cheap the way you are or may be more.

So don’t compare INDIA to US or US to US.
